The Aquabot ABREEZ4 X4 is an affordable robotic pool cleaner for above ground and small in-ground pools.
For less than half the price of a top Dolphin pool cleaner, the X4 comes loaded with premium features including extra-large top-loading dual filter baskets, power washing jets, and ultra-fine filtration.
If you are looking for a powerful robotic cleaner that won’t cost you much, the Aquabot X4 is a great choice.
That said, there’s a reason the Aquabot X4 is priced that way despite having Dolphin-level features. The build quality is wanting.
There are several complaints about the pool cleaner regularly breaking down.
At least it comes with a 2-year warranty to reduce maintenance costs.

If you’d prefer a pool robot guaranteed to last for 5+ years, we recommend a Dolphin pool cleaner. They are more expensive but last longer and are easier to maintain.

Our Impression - Aquabot ABREEZ4 X4
Aquabot ABREEZ4 X4 Extra Large Robotic Pool Cleaner Review
The Aquabot ABREEZ4 X4 is hard to beat if you are looking for an affordable & powerful robotic pool cleaner.
You’ll appreciate the performance of the scrubbing brushes and water jets. At least it comes with a 2-year warranty to reduce maintenance costs.
PRICE: $374.99
Cleaning Ability
The Aquabot X4 works best on above ground pools. It can also clean in-ground pools of up to 50ft, but it has trouble climbing the walls to the waterline.
At most, it only manages two or three feet. And even then, the floor to wall transition has to be curved.
It also gets tripped easily by the drain, steps, and other features of pool.
But it does a great job picking up leaves and debris.
Fixed scrubbing brushes under the cleaner agitate algae and dirt stuck on the pool surface. The robot also produces powerful water jets that further clean up stubborn grime on the walls and floor.
Then the powerful suction sucks it through the ultra-fine filters.
The fine filter inserts capture particles as small as 2 microns, including dust and fine sand.
The debris is dumped into two large top-loading baskets. The baskets are big enough to hold all the debris from a single cleaning.
The baskets of Aquabot X4 are easy to remove and clean.
The Aquabot X4 has no smart navigation, so it’s a little slow to clean. But it eventually gets the job done.
The standard cleaning cycle is 2 hours though you can also select a quicker 1-hour cycle.
Features We Like
1. Power Washing Jets
The X4 doesn’t just rely on the agitating brushes to remove dirt and grime stuck on the pool floor and walls; power washing jets provide extra cleaning power to remove even the most stubborn algae and calcification.
2.Powerful Suction
With a suction rate of 80 gallons a minute, the Aquabot X4 matches the power of more expensive pool robots.
The powerful suction is not just good for filtration; it also mixes the water more effectively. This helps distribute pool chemicals and prevents the buildup of algae and microbes at specific points.
3. Swivel Cable
The original version of the X4 did not have a swivel cable, causing frustrations among users. But the current model features a swivel joint on the cable, ensuring it doesn’t tangle and interfere with the robot’s cleaning.
4. Extra Large Filter Baskets
For a pool robot designed mostly for above ground pools, the filter baskets are surprisingly big. There are two of them on each side of the robot, each capable of holding plenty of debris.
One thoughtful feature we like is the easy-view top. With just a quick glance, you can see whether the baskets need emptying.
5. Cycle and Weekly Timer
If you want a thorough cleaning, select the 2-hour cleaning cycle. For a quick clean, select the 1-hour cycle.
You can also set the X4 to clean automatically every two, three or four days. This is handy if you are not always there to start the pool robot.
